Studio Policies

Registration

  • Advanced registration is required for all classes/workshops/camps. This can be done online via our website.

  • Class/Workshop/Camp fee is due upon registration and is required to guarantee your spot.

Cancellations and Refunds/Make-ups

  • No refunds will be given for withdrawal from an ongoing class.

  • There are no make-up classes or refunds for missed classes/workshops/camps.

  • Homeschool Classes - Homeschool classes are a semester commitment. Your account will be auto-drafted on the 1st of the month for the full semester. Only if a family is moving can the remaining tuition be canceled.

  • Camps - Cancellations made within 14 days of the camp start date are non-refundable. Cancellations made before 14 days of the start date will be refunded minus $75. There are no make-up days or refunds for missed days of camp.

  • Parties - There is a non-refundable $100 deposit to hold your date. In the event that the birthday child gets sick, we can reschedule the party to another available date. Deposits are good for 3 months.

  • Ladies Nights - Cancellations made prior to 72 hours before the day of the class may be refunded. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the class will not be refunded due to purchasing supplies for your spot. However, you may transfer your spot to another person so that they can come in your place.

  • If A Joyful Mess needs to cancel a class due to inclement weather, we will make every attempt to contact you with as much advanced notice as possible. If a class needs to be canceled, we will email you with either the make-up class date or a credit code to use in the future.

Mommy & ME Membership

  • If you need to cancel your spot for a class, please email the studio at MommyandMe@AJoyfulMessArtStudio.com at least 30 minutes BEFORE the start of your class to avoid the “No Show/No Cancellation” fee of $10 per child.

  • Parents are required to monitor their child during class.

  • Only children who are registered for class will be able to attend that class. Siblings without a membership will need to pay the drop-in rate.

  • Unused spots will expire at the end of each month (Use them or lose them). It is the customers responsibility to use their spots by then. There will be no refunds for unused spots.

  • There are no refunds for past unused membership months/spots. It is the customers responsibility to use their spots.

  • Memberships will not be paused and you must have an active membership to use your spots.

  • To cancel your membership, email the studio at MommyandMe@AJoyfulMessArtStudio.com BEFORE your next auto-draft date or you will be charged your auto-draft.

Summer Camp Info

  • Camps are Monday-Thursday from either 9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm. (Except Tween/Teen Camp #1)

  • Summer Camps are drop-off only. Parents will not be allowed to stay for camp. Doors will open 5 minutes before camp starts. Pick-up is promptly at either 1pm or 6pm.

  • Children must be entering 1st grade for the upcoming school year and be 6+ to join us. (No exceptions)

  • Tween & Teen Summer Camps are for children who will be going into 5th -8th grade for the upcoming school year. However, incoming 5th graders are also welcome to join any of the other camps as well!

  • Each camp has 20 children with one teacher and one teacher’s assistant.

  • Children need to bring a sack lunch (we are a peanut free studio) and water bottle. They also need to wear clothes that can get messy!

  • Most camps are $325 with the exception of our Dollhouse camp (which is $350). Artists at Dollhouse camp will get to take home a handmade high quality wooden dollhouse making this camp just a little bit more. Camps are paid in full at the time of registration and there is a 10% sibling discount.

  • We do not make expectations for our age policy.

Age requirements

  • Age requirements are put in place for multiple reasons. There are no exceptions. Please be aware of the requirements for both age and grade when registering for classes, camps, and workshops. If your child doesn’t meet the age requirements, they will be removed from the class.

Do you have a class for me?

Of course! We have classes for every age group!

Ages 1-5: Mommy & Me Preschool Play Groups

Grades K-5th: After School Workshops, Homeschool Classes, Weekly Workshops & Kids’ Night Out

Grades 1-8th: Summer Camps

Tweens & Teens 5th-8th: Summer Camps, After School Workshops, Homeschool Classes, Weekly Workshops & Kids’ Night Out

Adults: Private Events and Ladies Night Outs
 

What should my child wear?

Clothes they can be creative in! Most paint is NOT washable. We do have aprons for them to wear but I still would send them in art clothes.
 

Do I stay with my child?

Not unless you are coming to the Mommy & Me Preschool Playgroup. Parents/Caretakers are required to stay with their preschooler during these classes.

Camps, classes, and workshops are drop-off and parents are not permitted to stay in class.
